What is the Difference Between Stainless Steel And Galvanized Steel.

First and the major difference between these two pipes are the principle of corrosion resistant. Generally, galvanized steel is manual steel that has been galvanized which means it’s surfaces have been coated with the layer of zinc plate and it provides the considerable amount of protection from corrossion.

On the other hand, Stainless steel is very amaze and completely different class of material rather than others. It’s chromium element can change the surface properties of steel by relative dense oxide layers, preventing internal iron from being oxided.

In addition, galvanized steel is used for less severe service condition such as humid or water conditions. So that, in plumbing or construction industries it is used in numerous applications. Moreover, galvanized joints and water connector equipments are highly used in pipeline services.

However, stainless steel is used for more drastic conditions such as in oil or gas transfer equipments. Although, stainless steel pipe hangers is one the equipment used in petrochemical industry for providing a  support to the pipe.

Further, the physical qualities of both are also very important. Galvanized steel strength is weaker than stainless steel. Because, only outer layer is cover by zinc so it can easily corrode and can’t provide the protection as long as stainless steel can.

Consequently, galvanized is affordable than stainless steel. Due to it’s affordability and weaker strenghth it is used in small budget projects. But both galvanized and stainless steel have a popular name in various industries.
