Electric hoists provide reliable service when it comes to food processing, plating operation, inverted use, and steel mills. They are regarded as ‘powered-lifting assistants’. Electric hoists, like other hoists, should not be ignored.
No amount of safety programs and safe hoist practices will be successful, accidents could occur. The very main purpose of electric hoist inspection (Also known as “ การตรวจสอบรอกไฟฟ้า “ in the Thai Language) is to provide safety.
You can use the following procedure before using them:
Wipe electric hoists clean of debris and oil. You can use a degreaser if necessary.
Extend and check the cables or chains maximum length. If there is wear, do not use it until repaired.
Load rating tag should be read. The load you lift does not exceed the ‘load rating’ tag weight.
Lubricate the necessary possible after a visual inspection, prior to the next operation.
The manufacturer manual is a helpful tool for the proper maintenance operation.
Always check the electric hoist before using it.
Hoists are usually placed on top of the head, which is attached to the ceiling. Knowing the function of the unit before using it. There are two types of powered hoists.
The first is a portable battery-operated hoist, this is lightweight and can be easily detached or moved to work on different tracks.
The next is the hoist permanent attached to the ceiling supported by the lifting mechanism and the operation can be performed continuously. This type can not be moved and does not require dismantling every now and then.
